Sample Schedule
7a Morning vinyasa practice
Wake up in the morning and walk into the breathtaking yoga shala surrounded by Costa Rican jungle. Listen to tropical birds and monkeys as we partake in a 90-minute morning vinyasa for all-levels and all bodies.
9a Break for quiet morning breakfast
Included in your retreat package, enjoy a locally-sourced, organic breakfast made fresh to order. Some of Nomadic’s featured breakfasts are banana pancakes, huevos rancheros, slaw torta or the ‘Costa Rican Typical’ (eggs your way, gallo pinto served with plantain, fried Cotija cheese & rosemary chickpea bread).
In the rhythm of a yogic morning, we will observe quietude for reflection. Enjoy your breakfast, immerse yourself in your breathtaking surroundings, and soften into your day after our vinyasa flow.
11a Group activity
We have a handful of group excursions as well as some immersive classes planned! The entire group will take a renowned surf class (all-levels). On other days, Damian will guide a class on the history of the yoga. We will also invite a guest teacher that can teach us more about the riches and wonders of Costa Rica, and how to honor both land and locals while we stay.
2p Lunch & free time
Nosara has so much to offer and it is yours to explore. Want to check out some boutique stores or taste some local cuisine? Want to lay on the beach or practice more yoga? this time is yours to explore. Walk slowly and savor every moment.
6p Dinner
We have 3 dinners included, the 4th will be a special night out. We will sit around a table, enjoying 3-course meals prepared by Nomadic’s selected specialty chef and her team. Share stories, hear unique perspectives, and make unforgettable connections.
8p Yin
Yin yoga is a time to rest & digest from the exciting paradise you are participating in. Make a conscious effort to slow down the body. Draw a bolster under the spine or elevate the feet. Listen to the poetics of the yoga. Allow the bones to soften into the muscle. And find a handful of restorative postures and moonlit meditation before a deep, restorative sleep.
About your teacher:
Damian Joseph Quinn (she/they/he) has been rescued by yoga. From a meditative moment of bliss in P90X’s Yoga X video at 12 years old, Damian has since pursued a life oriented around the magic in the mundane and the truth of life beyond the monotony we are all perscribed.
Damian graduated from 200hr YTT with Shivakali Yoga in the California Redwoods in 2019. They furthered their practice in Bali, Indonesia, completing their 500hr YTT.
Damian has since taken the yoga to Hong Kong, Thailand, Ecuador, Honduras, New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Brazil and Costa Rica, to name a few.
Faith oriented them towards backpacking South America for 2024. What began as a one-way ticket to Colombia transformed into 3 months abroad, climbing vines in the Amazon Rainforest, meditating with Peruvian shamans, performing in Buenos Aires and dancing samba in Rio de Janeiro.
Dame feels most expansive when traveling. From their travels, they are eager to remind us that the world is pure, humanity is kind, and that NOW is the time to embrace your life.
FAQs

It is recommended to fly into Liberia Airport. From there, you have a few choices. You can hop on a short flight from Liberia to Nosara, purchase your own shuttle or ride to the hotel, or meet some of your fellow yogis, carpooling in a 2.5hr ride on a 4-person shuttle for $50 one-way.
Please advise us if you are interested in carpooling!
-
Every breakfast, 1 lunch and 3 dinners are covered. We have lots of free time during the day for you to explore Nosara, grab a refreshing smoothie bowl or sandwich, and enjoy the ocean on your own time.
We recommend packing spending money for souvenirs, any additional excursions (like deep sea fishing!) and 4 meals (3 small lunches and our final dinner out).

Yes. Costa Rica is a very safe and friendly place to travel.
That said, stay smart on your travels. Always carry your passport and essentials close to your person.
-
Are you in a body? Is that body breathing?
If you are aware of your breath, you are doing yoga. As my students know, just showing up to your mat is sometimes the hardest part of coming to any yoga practice. If you want to take child’s pose for an hour and follow along to the cues, you are doing yoga.
This is called a yoga practice for a reason - we remember the intention of practice and try to undo the capitalist, performative aspects of what it means to be “good” at yoga.
Let’s honor the ocean, the land, the locals, and each other in our communities with as much significance as headstands, fitness regimes or diets.
All bodies belong on the mat. Every single one of us.
